Formulas

All Jato nozzles are tested and referenced with water at a pressure of 4 bar. (Nozzles for the steel industry are specified at 2.8 bar.)

If the line pressure in your application differs, you can use the formula below to convert your required nozzle capacity to the corresponding Jato size.

X · V1 (desired capacity in l/min) = V2 in l/min (capacity of the Jato nozzle at pressure P2)

X 20 l/min = 28.28 l/min

A desired flow rate of 20 l/min at a pressure of 2 bar corresponds to a Jato nozzle flow rate of 28.28 l/min at 4 bar.
